T-Max’s former member, Park Yunhwa, confirms military service date

Former member of idol group T-Max, Park Yunhwa, will be entering the military on November 16th as an active-duty soldier.

He stated, “I’m glad to be able to validate myself as a healthy Korean man through my entrance into the military. I had the opportunity to delay it due to my studies, but I’d rather go in early and mature myself. I still haven’t shown a lot of what I’m capable of, but I’ll return with deeper music in two years.”

Park Yunhwa debuted in 2007 with T-Max’s “Blooming“, but left the group earlier this year before the release of their first official album.

Park Yoon Hwa leaves T-Max for the army

Having just welcomed a new member, Park Hanbi, T-Max will still be a 3-member group after it was revealed that Park Yoon Hwa would be leaving for the army.

It was revealed that the 24-year old Yoon Hwa has opted to join the army sometime this year instead of waiting until he is 29, which is what most male entertainers in the entertainment industry do.

The decision was revealed on the 5th where Yoon Hwa wrote a message on T-Max’s fancafe. He regrets that he has to leave the group but this was a decision that he had made with much thought. He also hopes that everyone will continue supporting T-Max and he will return as a better musician in future.

Planet 905 confirmed the news on the 6th and expressed, “The exact time of his enlistment is not yet fixed but it will be this summer. We discussed about it and felt that his enlistment date might affect the new album promotions in May, so it was decided that he will not be involved with the album and leave the group. After his enlistment, we will welcome him back into the group.”

SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong strongly affirmed that that SS501 will not be disbanding.

In a recent interview, he stated, “With our members branching out into different companies, many wonder whether SS501 is disbanding or not. We were only able to move companies because we had confirmed with one another that we would continue to work as a group under the name of SS501.

He continued, “During that time when our contracts expired, there was no company that would take in all five of us.”

Regarding SS501’s future activities, he answered, “For now, we’ll do solo albums for a bit. We’re planning to get together for a performance. Due to our companies being different, it’s difficult to get our schedules coordinated, but it will get done.

Kim Hyun Joong concluded the interview by expressing his friendship with the other members. “I get in contact with the members every single day. F.CUZ’s full MV for “Midnight Sun” will not be as explicit

F.CUZ’s music video teaser for their new single “Midnight Sun” has been stirring up a ton of controversy. Many have labelled it as ’shocking’ and ‘provocative’; while those terms are normally utilized in a positive light (ie: Lady Gaga), in conservative Korean society, it fringes on taboo.

Many netizens were shocked by the racy clothing, lewd gestures, as well as an open display of gay sexuality; for a society bombarded by ‘cute’ and ‘cheery’ models, it’s hard for most to accept that this music video features an idol group. The fact that F.CUZ’s maknae Yejun is still an adolescent has further scandalized the viewers.

Netizens wrote disapprovingly, “Is it okay for an idol group with members in the teenage years to film such a music video? It is upsetting.”

F.CUZ’s agency responded, “The music video means to convey the message of liberal freedom through the medium of club parties. It wasn’t focusing on decadent pleasures.” The representative continued, “Although the teaser contains sexually explicit material, the full music video will not emphasize an outstanding degree of physical contact or vulgar content”, stressing the “teaser” aspect of the clip.

The agent concluded, “The “Midnight Sun” music video concepts revolves around vampires and sexiness. Instead of putting the focus on the sexual content, please concentrate on the image transformation of F.CUZ”.

Why did KARA have to change in the car?

On this week’s episode of SBS’s ‘Strong Heart‘, KARA’s Park Gyuri shared a story about having to change clothes in their car.

“We were at a local concert and our outfits hadn’t arrived yet. When they did arrive, the members had to resort to changing in the car”, said Gyuri.

She continued, “We had no choice, since we had to get on stage immediately. The members realized the situation and each of us slowly started taking off our clothes.”

“We didn’t know how to hide our bodies so our hands kept moving back and forth from our top to our bottoms. Even in this embarrassing situation, Gyuri unnie still maintained a straight, goddess-like posture while getting changed”, added Jiyoung.

Hilariously, as the members were sharing the story, Tony An’s face and ears went bright red with embarrassment. He retorted in his defence, “Sometimes my ears randomly turn red like this.”

Yoon Jong Shin added, “Everyone’s faces look vacant, it looks like they’re thinking of something…”, causing singer Huh Gak’s ears to turn bright red with embarrassment as well.

An After School fan on twitter with the user name @kahi_always recently asked @pledisboss (Sunghan) when After School was returning. To the user’s surprise, @pledisboss replied with the tweet:

“@kahi_always 2010.12.02 입니다 / @kahi_always It’s December 2nd, 2010″
